José Francisco Silva Finete

Joe was preceded in death by Pedro Andrade Finete (Father), Conceicao Juliana Finete (Mother), Justino J. Finete (Brother), Florinda Finete (Sister-in-Law), Maria Rosaria Faria (Sister) Joao Faria (Brother-in-Law), Justin Finete (Nephew), and his in-laws Manuel & Nazary Caboz. Joe is survived by his wife of 55 years Jeanette Caboz Finete; his son Joseph Manuel Finete; his son James Peter Finete and daughter-in-law Mariacruz Cookie Finete; his daughter Jeanette Diana Finete; his granddaughter Julia Madeira Finete; his sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Diane & Frank Souza and Linda & William Peterson.

Mr. Finete also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Michael Finete, Grace Finete, Beverly McConnell, Frank Souza III, Michele Medeiros, Denise Blair, Janelle Correia, Lauren Kaliskis, Christina Peterson and their spouses.

A prayer and funeral service for José will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10am St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1140 Evergreen St. San Diego, CA 92106. Followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Dr., San Diego 92102 and a Celebration of Life reception at the UPSES Hall Portuguese Hall at 2818 Avenida De Portugal, San Diego, CA 92106. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Joe’s memory to St. Augustine High School 3266 Nutmeg St. San Diego, CA 92104.
