Jovito Felipe, born on May 10, 1942, in Cavite, Philippines, to Petronilo Felipe and Salome Guzman, was a proud U.S. Navy serviceman who dedicated 30 years of service before working in other commercial employment. A devoted father of six children and proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and great-grandfather to two.
Jovito lived a full life across several places: from Cavite, Philippines, to San Diego, California, Tijuana, Mexico, Poncitlán, Jalisco, Fontana, California, and finally Mira Mesa, California, where he stayed.
He loved being with family, taking the kids fishing, to Padres games, and for treats at 7-Eleven. Weekends meant trips to the beach or the park, flying kites and playing soccer. But his greatest joy came from playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, filling his life with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
