Larry was born in Grand Forks, ND, raised and lived in MN until the mid 1980s; and a resident of San Diego, CA for more than 25 years.
He took great pride in having served his country as a Marine during the Korean War and always had a soft spot for military personnel. Larry spent 30+ years in the car industry and received numerous awards from both manufacturers and dealerships over the years as well as letters of gratitude from customers..
His parents, nephew Mark, grandson Joshua Phillip, and his close friends had all predeceased him. He leaves his sister, Sandra and Brother-in-law David Rosenaur of Carlsbad, nephews, Bruce Cohen (Los Angeles), Jason (Leigh) Cohen (Baltimore, MD) behind him; as well as his daughter Beth and her husband Tony Inthavong,
grandchildren Kiri, Zachary, Jacob, Joseph, and Noah ,his great granddaughter, Machia, of St. Cloud, MN; his companion and life partner of 10 years, Brenda Sack, and his son David and granddaughter Emma of MN. Larry took great joy from his grandchildren and great grandchild, and shared a special bond with his youngest grandson, Noah, through stamp collecting. Those that got to know Larry would describe him as having a good heart
