Herrera, Leona Orlando SAN DIEGO-- Born in Racine, Wisconsin, on December 29, 1920 to Giuseppe Orlando and Antonina D'Acquisto. Came to San Diego in 1938 and resided in Little Italy. Married Arthur Herrera in 1942 at St. Joseph's Cathedral. Preceded in death by husband of 67 years to Arthur Herrera, grandson Arthur Moore, son-in-law David Johnson, and two brothers Mike and Fred Orlando. Survived by three daughters Antoinette Johnson, Josephine Tarantino (Phillip), and Mary Balistreri (Frank). Has six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild. Also survived by three sisters Jennie Willis, Margaret Young, and Rosalie Buscemi (Joe). Viewing on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Merkeley Mitchell Mortuary. Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Mausoleum on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
