

Leonardo Austria Silverio was a generous, kind, loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He passed away on April 22, 2023 after a short battle with pneumonia. He was 86 years old. On April 11, 1937, Leonardo was born to Maximo Silverio and Bonifacia Austria in Balagtas, Bulacan in the Philippines. He was the second child in a family of six children. Narding, as friends and family call him, was a graduate of Pedro Guevarra Memorial High School in Santa Cruz, Laguna in 1955. He finished Radio Telephony and Radio Technician courses at the National Radio School and Institute of Technology in 1957. Narding became a Radio Control Technician at ABS-DZAQ Radio. Narding married Nenita Castro in 1960. In 1962, Narding worked as a Television Cameraman at ABCRTV Channel 5 ‘s live show “ Dance O Rama” before becoming a Technical Director on TV shows such as “May I Sing To You“, “Carmen On Camera with Carmen Soriano”, “Lights , Camera , Action“ starring Virgilio Garcia. In 1969 he directed the musical show, “Helen of Song” with Helen Gamboa. During those times, he was known as “Silver” in the television industry. Over the years, Narding and Nenita welcomed five children: Ferdinand, Adonis, Irene, Venus and Jason. In time, Narding became a grandfather to 12 grandchildren and a great grandfather to two. This, he said, was his most treasured role. Narding is survived by his children, Ferdie and Bong, Jojo and Roshan, Jiji and Jessie, Venus and Greg, and his youngest Jason, grandchildren Janella and Jeric, Justine, Joshan, Joko, Jan, Marcus, Julian, Lucas, Ryann, Mason, Zoiey and great grand kids Jaxon and Jaena. He is also survived by his siblings, Julita (Nene) Silverio Dean and Erning Silverio. Narding was predeceased by his wife Nenita and daughter in law Pamela. All held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly.
