Leticia Casas Motong

Leticia Casas Motong, age 74, of San Diego has joined our Creator in Heaven on Thursday, June 2, 2022. She was born April 23, 1948 in Aringay, La Union in the Philippines. She was a caring and loving wife to her husband of almost 50 years, Jonathan. She was a selfless and wonderful mother to her five children: Trisha, Abigail, Christian, Jon Michael, Jaimie, and son-in-law, Manny. She was also a kind and doting Mama to her grandchildren: Amara, Chloe, Matthew, Olivia and Kobe.

Letty pursued her Bachelor’s of Arts in English in Manila where she met her husband, Jonn. They got married in 1972 and had 3 children. To pursue better opportunities, their family moved to Cebu in 1984 and soon after her 2 other children were born. With their perseverance, they built their own successful businesses and moved to California in 2006.

She loved teaching kids, having taught both in the Philippines and in the US till retirement in 2016. She would spend hours with both family and friends. She loved to travel, read books, watch action movies, and Spanish telenovelas. She also loved spending time in the kitchen and passed on recipes to her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as someone with a great sense of humor and utmost positivity; she touched the hearts of everyone she had come across. Her memory will live on and she will truly be missed by all of her loved ones.
