She is survived by her daughter Beatriz Taylor, son George and wife Robin Fielding. She is also survived by grandson Terry and wife Trish Taylor, granddaughter Sarah Fielding, granddaughter Emily and husband Doug Fairchild and great granddaughter Audry Fairchild.
Maria was an alumni of San Diego State University and was an active member of the Altar Society at Saint Didacus Catholic Church and she enjoyed gardening.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband George Fielding Sr. and her parents Eduardo and Lupe Hijar.
A visitation will be held on November 23, 2014 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Goodbody Mortuary. A Rosary will be held on November 24, 2014 at 9:30am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00am at St. Didacus Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
