Marjorie R. Mitchell

Marjorie (Margie) Rose Mitchell was born on July 29, 1930 in Mexia, Texas. She was the eldest of three children born to Fred and Rose Jeter. She was raised in Mexia and received her formal education in the Mexia School District and continued her educations as a cosmetologist. Margie was a member of Mount Erie Baptist Church and an active member of the choir. Marjorie was with H.S. Kress & Company for more than 25 years and over 12 years with Kona Kai Hotels. Margie retired in 1998.

Marjorie was united in marriage with Charles Mitchell on December 5, 2004 in San Diego, California at Mount Erie Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Marjorie will best be remembered for the love and laughter she brought in to the lives of those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and oldest daughter Carolyn Quinn.

Marjorie Rose Mitchell was called from labor to reward on Monday, November 26, 2012. She is survived by her husband Charles Mitchell; four children her son Jonathan of San Diego, daughters Gwendolyn and her husband John, Jacqueline and her husband Phillip, Marilyn and husband Lafayette from Houston, Texas; siblings Annie Mae Richard of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
