
Pat was a pioneer for women in the work force and had to fight to compete in a man’s world. She worked for the state of California for 50 years and just retired. She loved her job, enjoyed her work and her fellow auditors. Pat started working as an auditor in Los Angeles after college and eventually returned to San Diego in charge of the San Diego office. She was devoted to her career, had a strong work ethic, and was sensitive and concerned for the welfare of everyone around her. Pat was very bright, creative and talented. She had a remarkable memory, was very knowledgeable, and brilliant. She loved art, was a collector, and appreciated art that appealed and pleased her. She was an amazing decorator whether it was her office or home and had a sense of color artistry, and beauty. She was very talented, creative, and gifted in everything she did. She was an avid reader and very much loved mysteries. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles and decorating. Pat was constantly reading and learning new things. She was looking forward to mastering new things on her computer and becoming more proficient in all the new technology. Pat was very much looking forward to redecorating her house, inside and out, and had many ideas and plans in the works. Pat loved her family, was very close to her parents and missed them terribly after they passed away. She continued to enjoy her brother’s family with his two daughters and their families consisting of four great nephews and nieces. She loved holidays and family get-togethers and the camaraderie. She especially loved decorating and celebrating with her family for Christmas and Easter. Pat did a lot of traveling when she was younger and even visited her father’s relatives in Ireland. She was generous with her time, gifts, money, and charitable gifts for many worthwhile causes, especially feeding the hungry and military injured warriors. Pat had a strong sense of right and wrong. She was a loving and sensitive person and will leave an emptiness in the hearts of all who knew her. Pat Fox donated to numerous organizations but the organization that she donated to the most was Feeding America San Diego. One of the things that was important to her was that everyone should be able to have his or her basic needs met. When looking at all of her charitable organizations this was a common theme running throughout. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 13541 Stoney Creek Rd., San Diego, CA., 92129 In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Feeding America San Diego to continue the legacy of Patrica Fox.
