It is with deep love and great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Remedios Padilla Bautista, age 83, of San Diego, CA. She was called to be with our Lord Jesus on November 26, 2025.
Remedios “Remy” was born on August 31, 1942 in Alaminos-Pangasinan, Philippines to Eugenio Padilla and Cesaria Fontanilla Padilla. In 1967, Remy married the love of her life, Arsenio Romero Bautista, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family and unconditional love. A devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother, she was the heart of her family and always a steady source of strength and kindness.
Remy enjoyed life’s simple joys - “googling” on You-tube, playing penny slots at the casino, gardening, cooking, and taking peaceful walks outdoors. She was the biggest fan and supporter of her children and grandchildren. Remy’s warm smile, chatty and generous spirit made everyone around her feel valued and loved.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arsenio Romero Bautista; brother Jose Fontanilla Padilla, children Gladys Bautista Faydo (Christopher L. Faydo), Arlene Bautista Castrejon (Bryan Castrejon), Edgar Padilla Bautista and Grandchildren, McKenna Lianne Faydo, Dylan Michael Faydo and Kaitlyn Marie Castrejon.
