

She was born on May 25, 1928 in Cambridge Massachusetts to Frank and Nora Silva. She was one of twelve Children. The family soon moved to San Diego California.
She was a proud Mother of four children; Don, Pamela, Barry, and Nancy. Rosie loved being a mother but her most treasured role was being a Grandmother. Rosie was blessed with 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great- Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren. She was often surrounded by family- sharing traditions and making long lasting memories with future generations.
Rosie will always be remembered for her love baking cakes on birthdays and special occasions as well as Portuguese sweet bread and fudge during the Holidays.
Rosie was a devout Catholic at St. Brigid Parish where she attended Sunday Mass since 1972. She was also a devoted member in S.E.S. Portuguese Hall of San Diego.
Rosie is preceded in death by her son Barry Medlin and her Grandson Michael Navarette. She is survived by her Brother Richard Silva, her children; Don Medlin, Pamela Clopton, and Nancy Burdyshaw as well as her many Grandchildren whom she adored very much.
