

Sadie M. Jacobs was born to Jim Stokes and Willie Mae Kinion on June 28, 1932 in Newnan, Georgia. In 1952, she relocated with her family to San Diego, California. Sadie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior up under the late Bishop Blake of Greater Jackson Memorial Church of God Christ. After the passing of Bishop Blake, Sadie became a member of Evangelist Temple C.O.G.I.C. under Pastor Taylor. She later joined Cosmopolitan Church of Deliverance and during that time she received her Missionary and Evangelist License. Sadie was an active member of the Cosmopolitan Texas Loyalty Club, Inc. She also served as the President of the Pastor’s Aide. Anyone who knew Sadie would tell you that she was a praying woman. In 1994, the Lord led Sadie to Truth Apostolic Community Church under the late District Elder Anthony Williams where she served as Pastor’s Aide and she was one of the Church Mothers.
Sadie or Mama Sadie, as she was known by so many, was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend-Sweet, Sweet Sadie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Willie C. Stokes. On Tuesday, January 31, 2012 Sadie M. Jacobs was called home to glory to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Betty Pippins, Arlene Johnson, Gwen Harvey, Pat Ellison, Priscilla Drake; sons, George A.L. Lloyd, Dennis Lloyd; grandchildren, Jimmy and Timmy Taylor, Carge Johnson, Terrell Webster, Cardwell Lynch, Jerry Drake, George Lloyd, Jr. Clifton (Sticks) West, Monti’ Williams, Tamika Lloyd, Shannon Lloyd, George Lloyd, Tiara Lloyd, Alexis Lloyd, Kania Lloyd; great grandchildren, Timmy Taylor and Jimmy Taylor, Jr., Paige Johnson, Jeriah and Jaedee Drake, Gionny and Tiara Lloyd, Latell Love, Eriyanah and Sajanah Lloyd, Jaden Lloyd, Delontay Williams, Nyjah West, and a host of dear friends, including special friends Caramaline Cole and family and Gwen Hayes and family.
