

Salvatore “Sal” Mussomeli was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 2, 1926 and passed away peacefully in the early hours of November 22, 2017. He served in the Navy during WWII and moved to San Diego in the late 1940’s, where he was a commercial fisherman for close to 40 years. After he retired from fishing, he became the maintenance supervisor for, Lyon’s Inc. and worked for them until he retired again at age 85.
Sal is survived by his loving wife, Ann, of 62 years; daughters Angela Namaro (Marty), Joann De Santi (Leo); grandchildren Gino and Ariana De Santi; brother, Peter and many nieces and nephews.He is predeceased by his brothers, Vincent and Andrew and sisters, Josephine Mussomeli, Sandy Torcellini and Mary Tarantino.
Sal loved life and his family very much. One of his greatest joys was making people laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The celebration of Sal’s life will begin Monday, December 4th, 2017 at St. Vincent Catholic Church, with a rosary at 9:30am and mass at 10:00am. Interment will follow at El Camino Memorial Park.
