

Sarah Lin Huang, 92 years of age, passed away in Taiwan on December 14, 2022, same day as her husband Chris Y. Lin, who went to heaven in 2015. According to their wishes, the couple will be buried together in San Diego on September 29, 2023.
Sarah was born on January 31, 1931 in Yi Lan, Taiwan. She was the eldest daughter of the family. Sarah received professional training in fashion design after high school. She had exquisite taste and talents in singing, drawing, calligraphy, flower arrangement. She was a lifelong learner and reader. She also completed college level English intensive program while raising her children.
Sarah and Chris knew each other as teenagers but it wasn’t until years later that they were reintroduced by mutual friend and soon they married in 1955 and three daughters were born from this union. Sarah was the first person in the family professing her life to Christ. Throughout their earlier marriage and business endeavor, there were numerous hardships during which she led Chris to be the follower of Jesus and together they strived to build a Christ-loving and serving household.
Sarah’s outgoing personality won her friendships everywhere she went. She was devoted to church affairs, organizing Japanese and English Bible studies. She worked two terms as Evangelism Department chair for YWCA. She also actively involved in Christian women’s club and rotary club. Her greatest passion was to spread the gospel. She was always eager to share her belief testifying for God wherever she went.
Sarah and Chris moved to US after Chris retired. They soon joined CBCSD as regular member faithfully attending church service and senior fellowship. They enjoyed wonderful years of independent retiree life in beautiful San Diego. However, due to health reason, they decided to move back to Taiwan to live in a Christian retirement home where they received wonderful care till the end of their abundant lives.
Sarah and Chris leave to cherish her loving memory her daughters and son-in-laws, Phebe and Philips, Lydia and Ben, Susan and Chunhao; 7 grandchildren and their spouse, and other friends and family.
The memorial service will be held at the El Camino Memorial Park in Sorrento Valley on September 29 at 1:45 PM by the grave side. There will be sign posted for direction inside the park.
