One of the best teachers I was blessed to have.  I wish I had the opportunity to tell her so.  Even at such a young age, she made a lasting impression..Godspeed.

my sincere regrets reading the sad news about the best teacher ever at Macdowells.She was my son(Don R.oliver Jr.) teacher and saw the promise of a good student; she was very instrumental in having him tested. She loved her profession and was devoted in bringing the best out from her students, who adorned her.

Spending time with Shirley in her last days and talking to her about the love and memories she had of her family and how proud she was of them,
 was special.  She will be missed!

Dear Rudy, Mike, Kristi and family,
We have fond memories of our beautiful red-headed Cole Street neighbor!  Little blonde Kristi followed in her mother's footsteps and began her teaching career instructing our Jeff and Klysta while she was only about 5 years old!  We loved Shirley's strong and outgoing personality and enjoyed the annual Christmas letters sharing her proud moments with her family. We will miss hearing the latest news.
 May she rest in peace and may you all have comforting, peaceful healing.
