Native San Diegan Shirley Scott Parker passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 6, 2015. She was born at Mercy Hospital on June 8, 1927. She graduated from San Diego High School. She enjoyed taking daily walks in Balboa Park and Seaport Village with her lifelong friend Beverly Skinner. She was a vicarious reader. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Parker. She is survived by her daughter Michele Thomas. She was an active member of Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church as well as a member of the Italian Catholic Federation. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Father Joe’s Village or the Humane Society. Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015at 10:30 am at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Mission Hills.
