Mrs. Stella Marie Harris was born on February 7, 1917 in Mt. Vernon, Tennessee to Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Cora Moses. She moved to San Diego and married her childhood sweetheart, Earl W. Harris, who had left home and joined the United States Navy in 1936. To this union a beloved son Erwin was born. Her love, Earl, survived Pearl Harbor. Stella and Erwin waited three years for him to return home from World War II. In the early forties, Stella was a sales lady at Whitney's and then went on to become an Accounting Manager at Marstens. After his retirement from the Navy, Earl and Stella ran a successful real estate company. Earl was active in the Shrine and Stella belonged to the Daughters of the Nile. Stella was a voracious reader who enjoyed reading a wide variety of books and publications. Stella will be dearly missed by her family. She leaves to cherish her memories her most loved son Erwin and his wife Emily; Grandchildren: Deborah Harris, Bob & Cheri Manis, Bryan & Carol Harris; Great-Grandchildren: Mitchell Manis, Julia Harris & Jake Harris In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shriners Children's Hospital in honor of Earl & Stella Harris.
