Susan Kelly Crafton

Susan Kelly Crafton, 77, of Point Loma, passed away peacefully on Monday July 29, 2024. Born on February 26, 1947, Susan lived a life marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Susan was a beloved teacher who inspired countless students with her passion for education and her genuine care for their well-being. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, as she was also a dedicated philanthropist and advocate, touching many lives through her work and generosity.

She was an active and cherished member of St. Agnes, where she was known for her steadfast support and dedication to her church community. Her kindness and selflessness were evident in all aspects of her life, and she was a beacon of compassion to those around her.

Susan is survived by her husband, Bill Crafton; her son, Billy Crafton, and his wife, Kathrine; her daughter, Kelly Crafton, and her wife Kaitlin; and her three beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie, Luke, and Zoe. She will be remembered as the most incredible mother, grandmother, and friend, whose love and selflessness were a guiding light for those who knew her.

Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. An intimate memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Cathedral on August 6, 2024, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her extraordinary life and the many ways she touched their hearts.

Susan Kelly Crafton will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

A funeral service for Susan will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102.
