It’s during our graduation travel.     The guys managed to invite some ladies from other departments.

Our whole classmates scattered across continents want to send our love and condolences to the Fu family.   We dug out these vintage photos in haste.

My sincere condolences to Austin's family.  My thoughts are with you and all of us who called Austin a friend.  I was fortunate enough to get to know Austin as a "fishing buddy" on many of Wayne's trips.  Austin was an expert fisherman who always shared his knowledge and a helping hand.  He had kind words for everyone through rough waters and calm.  I especially appreciated the wonderful photos he took.  I'll miss seeing his smiling face and hearing his encouraging voice.

i have lots of pictures of dad taking pictures of food we were about to eat. truly combining his love for photos and his love for food. happy to have so many memories like this from our many lunches we would have together.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Austin's family and friends.  I just wanted to share what a nice man Austin was and how much we enjoyed his friendship and company on our many fishing trips.   His smile and positive attitude will truly be missed by everyone in the fishing club.  Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Uncle Tsemin always remember my birthday, becase when the day I came in the world,it's also the day he start his 2 years military service. On the 1970, the situation is not very good.  Many people went to opposite pacific pursue the American dream.  Grandfather counld only provide one way ticket to him.  Others, he could only on his own. Life is not esay but he conquer the challenge one by one. Today, he build the happy fmaily in USA.  He realize the America dream.   Uncle, you make family so proud.

Another memory from that Mendocino trip - my dad teaching his grandkids how to play mahjong.

We recently started taking more family trips together, starting with this one which was when we rented an AirBnB in Mendocino last year for my mom’s 70th birthday. My dad loved the ocean views of the property and he spent so much time taking pictures of everything. We had planned another trip this Thanksgiving to hike Havasupai Falls. My dad was so excited to go. He said it was on his bucket list. He will have missed that trip by less than 1 month.

My dad loved making little play-doh projects with his grandkids. While he was always technical, logical, and organized, he had a strong artistic side too. Huh, I guess I do too. *It’s because we’re related.*

I like this one because it is a photo of my dad taking a photo. (Also because he and Bobby are doing something cute.) Because he was always the one behind the camera, there are few photos I have with my dad actually in them. It makes them more rare and precious.

My dad came to America to get his graduate degree in Physics at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He always wanted to take me there, to show me where I was born. I’m so glad we got a chance to do that, just this past April. It was a lucky coincidence that Bob has family who live in Ohio, AND the path of totality for the eclipse was going through Cleveland, AND the eclipse was during Spring Break so the kids had school off. If not for the stars aligning (well, actually the moon and sun aligning) we would probably never have done the trip, and my dad wouldn’t have ever told me his Ohio stories.
