William was born on August 27, 1937 in Hammond, Indiana to John and Evelyn Koch After graduating from high school, he went on to serve 21 years in the United States Airforce as a Computer Programmer, retiring as a Master Sergeant in Colorado Springs, CO.
After his career in the Air Force, he went on to be a Volunteer Fire Fighter, EMT, and finally choose a career in security. He worked with a variety of companies with the last one being Homeland Security where he retired in San Diego.
After William retired, he spent his time volunteering at various activities with the Mission San Diego de Alcala. He would travel back to Hammond to visit his sisters and their families and get his case of White Castles. He enjoyed Friday night dinners eating at his favorite restaurants with his dear friends and family. William would also travel to away games to see his favorite football team, the San Diego Chargers. He loved both the Chargers and the San Diego Padres and would always be cheering them on and coaching from the sidelines, aka: his chair in front of the tv!
William was preceded in death by his parents John and Evelyn Koch, brother Jim Koch, and sister Rose Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Koch, his four sons William Koch Jr., Daniel Koch, Thomas Koch, John Koch, their daughter Misty Ann Suposs, and sister Sue Krazan. He leaves behind grandchildren and great grandchildren to cherish his memories.
