Anne Symonds, loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and aunt was born as Anne Marie Marshall on May 13, 1976 to Roger and Susan Marshall, the youngest of four. She moved with her family from Los Angeles to Colorado during her elementary school years. When Anne was 12 years old, she flew to Los Angeles to live with her loving Grandparents, Alice and Jim Gurney. She attended San Fernando Valley Adventist Academy. Anne was married to Eric Symonds for several years and they had two wonderful boys. She overcame many challenges and completed her studies as a phlebotomist, working most recently for Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. Anne is pre-deceased by her mother, Susan Ellen (Gurney) Marshall and uncle, Jim Gurney, Jr. She is survived by sons Calvin and Joey, father Roger, brother Roy, sisters Brenda and Holly, grandparents, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
Anne often volunteered to help others and enjoyed being of service, approaching life with a willingness to laugh and have fun. She was exceedingly generous with her time and resources. She was happiest when she was with her sons. She especially loved camping and exposing her boys to new experiences. Acquaintances knew her for her kind heart and quick wit. Anne was requested by patients at her workplace due to her excellence and skill. Anne worked hard to achieve and become the best that she could be in all areas of her life. Those in her circle saw her as being at the beginning of a new life when she made her transition.
