Billie, as an aspiring young professional taught herself to type, only later to put that skill to the test as a secretary for a Knoxville, Tennessee based company for a short time and transferred to Alaska, and later to Seattle, Washington.
Taking a position for an Insurance company Billie now working on the campus of Washington University, met Marvin Myers (having just left First National Bank of Seattle himself) now working for AddressoGraph Multigraph, Inc. with Marvin's skillset she later learned type-setting and graphic design skills.
The two became fast friends and were driven professionals, in fact after marrying in 1957 and moving to San Antonio, and later to Dallas the two entrepreneurs started their own business.
In business endeavors Marvin stated that Billie was an exceptional typist, and had very strong people skills, he went on to say that there was no way he could have been so successful without Billie's determination and exceptional talents.
As a mother Billie was always creating and teaching, as an artist she influenced and collaborated with her friends, an awesome example of this is the relationship she had with close family friend and world renowned artist John Nieto (Santa Fe/Dallas Galleries).
In advertising, and as an exceptional graphic designer she was employed by Neiman Marcus (original downtown store opened 1914) in Dallas Texas, and in 1991 her love of art and dear friends lead her to California, where she eventually accepted a position for Dolby Laboratories corporate headquarters in San Francisco, CA. in a similar capacity.
Billie was known by many as a most generous and giving human being, some say they witnessed her giving away jewelry and gifts she herself liked the most, as she wanted others to hopefully enjoy the articles as much as she had.
Billie passed peacefully at 12:05am on July 8, 2022, at the age of 88.
Billie is survived by her son Darin Myers, and his wife Angela White-Myers.
April 18, 1934.
