He was born on August 6, 1939 in Castleton, North Dakota and grew up and lived in San Francisco, CA. After attending Balboa High School, Dave worked as a Lithographer in San Francisco, but his true love was building fast cars and racing his dragster. In 1964 Dave Narlock and Dan Barnard held the NHRA C Gas Dragster MPH world record for the 1320 (quarter mile) track Est. Time of 9.17 sec. accomplished in Fremont CA for approximately 3 years. Dave could diagnose just about any car by listening to it.
He also loved his family and friends and is survived and loved by his ex-wife Dianne J. (Narlock) Maffei, his four children & their families - Pamela, Wendy, David Narlock & Sheila Fraijo and family, and Danny & Sharon Narlock and their children; grandson Daniel W. Narlock, Jr. and his wife Lauren Narlock, and his granddaughter Julia (Narlock) Glenn and her husband Nick Glenn. His great grand grandchildren Loretta and Jackson Narlock, and Nicholas, Wyatt, and Jameson Glenn. He is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and of course his precious dog PeeWee.
The family would like to thank Health Flex hospice for their care and compassion they showed our loved one during his final days.
