

December 27, 1969, in Salem, Ohio. Holly graduated from United High School in 1988,
graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992. She then
attended and graduated from Capital University Law School where she completed the Paralegal
Program in 1993. She started her career as a paralegal in Chicago and then moved to San
Francisco where she worked with various law firms, with her last 13 years working at Keker Van
Nest & Peters Law Firm as the Director of Attorney Recruiting and Professional Development.
Throughout her career, she had spoken at a number of law schools educating students on the
on-campus interview process, and the summer associate program. Holly was a member of the
Bay Area Legal Recruitment Association where she was a past board member and president. She
was also a member and presenter of the National Association of Law Placement. She is survived
by her daughter, Camryn Olivia Saydah of San Francisco, her mother, Nancy L. (McGranahan)
Marks of Lincoln, California, and her father, John W. Marks Jr. of Leesburg, Florida. She is also
survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Holly was surrounded by a wide circle of
friends and colleagues. A celebration of her life will be held in the future.
