

Jane Ann Davy, 88, of San Francisco, CA passed away on November 13, 2023. She was born in Falls City, Nebraska on January 14, 1935 to Glen Leslie Wachtel and Wilma Anna Wachtel. Jane graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1953 where she played saxophone and lettered in marching band.
In the early 1960’s Jane met the love of her life, Bruce Sherman Davy. They married in 1964 and moved to San Francisco. Jane and Bruce raised four children and were active members of Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco for many years. Jane had several careers including working in finance and had a modeling profession before becoming a mom. She developed as a real estate agent at Callan Real Estate and Green and Kaufmann Real Estate in Daly City. She obtained her broker license and sold real estate independently for a number of years. Jane also worked at the University of California, San Francisco for 22 years in Oral Pathology within the School of Dentistry.
Jane loved to bake cookies, garden and tend to her collection of orchids. She loved her cats who she affectionately called her “babies”. She had numerous friends from all ages and backgrounds. She was a dedicated sports fan and actively followed the SF Giants and 49ers. Jane was full of wisdom and you knew you were about to be blessed with some wisdom when she would say, “You wanna know something?”
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Davy, her son, James Davy, son in-law, Laurent Vallee, and is survived by her daughters Leslie Vallee and Nanette Davy, her son Peter Davy, daughter in-law Sandy Lau, and her four grandchildren, Jack Vallee, Ray Vallee, Matthew Davy, and Rachel Davy.
A memorial service will be held at the San Francisco Columbarium, 1 Loraine Ct, on Friday January 12, 2024 at 11:00AM with a reception to follow.
