

He was born on July 25, 1945, at his family’s home in Kashiwara City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. He was the youngest of five children, with two brothers and two sisters. He was a happy, active child and very close to his siblings.
Taki graduated from Yamamoto High School and studied civil engineering at Osaka Institute of Technology. After graduating in 1969, he moved to Tokyo, where he met and married Nobuko Aoki in 1972 and later had a daughter.
Taki worked in the building and construction industry and took many work trips to the United States. Having an adventurous spirit, the family moved to San Francisco, California, in 1978, where he lived until his passing.
Shortly after moving to San Francisco, he boldly changed careers and started an independent travel business. For 40 years, he accompanied business, school, and family groups on inspiring trips to Japan and the United States. He was an expert in creating memorable experiences.
Taki was a devoted, resourceful, funny, generous, and proud father and husband who cherished his wife and daughter. He was a kind and thoughtful person. He was strong but humble and honorable. He truly loved and experienced life. He was appreciative of all his privileges. He was fun, bright, and energetic until his very recent illness. His family and friends especially miss his cheerful voice, laughter, and huge smile.
Taki is survived by his wife Nobuko, daughter Seina, brother Yasuo, sisters Kiyone and Toshiko, and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Asao, father, Sanjiro, and brother, Ryushi.
Services will be held at Green Street Mortuary, 649 Green Street, San Francisco, California, at 2:00 pm, November 9, 2024.
