Guadalupe Morales Selzer was born on December 12, 1930 in Hick Camp, El Monte and passed on November 27, 2023 in the company of her family. “Lupe” was the youngest of six children born to Juan and Fortunata Hernandez. The Hernandez Family were longtime residents of San Gabriel and Lupe graduated from Mark Keppel High School. Lupe went on to join the work force and eventually retired after 23 years of service with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services. Lupe was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Lupe enjoyed time with her family and closest friend and would travel as often as she could. Lupe is survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Guadalupe will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Turner & Stevens Mortuary, 1136 East Las Tunas Drive, San Gabriel, CA 91776. A Rosary Service will occur Monday, December 18, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, 1136 East Las Tunas Drive, San Gabriel, CA 91776.
A Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at San Gabriel Mission, 425 S. Junipero Serra Drive, San Gabriel, CA 91776 to be followed by a Committal Service on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 N. Potrero Grande Dr, Rosemead, CA 91770.
