

James T. Consolato, Sr. (“Jim”) was born November 3, 1917 in Johnstown, PA. He grew up in Kankakee, Illinois and attended Kankakee High School where he was active in sports and Student Council. He served his country in the Army-Air Corps from 1942-1946; he was stationed in Guatemala and the Galapagos Islands.
On February 15, 1947, he married Corinne Loiselle, also of Kankakee, Illinois. They had 3 children: James, Jr., Mary Beth, and Julie. In 1959, Jim moved his family moved to California.
Jim worked for International Harvester/Navistar as a Parts Foreman and Supervisor for many years. He was a valued and loyal employee.
Jim was an avid horse racing fan and also loved to watch sports. He loved to talk to people and was always ready with a welcoming smile. He was fiercely devoted to his family.
Jim is survived by his wife Corinne, his son James, Jr., his daughters Julie (Surgi) and Mary Beth (Embree), his sister Josephine Hendricks, his nieces Lana Shear and Josephine Garrison, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
