It is with profound sadness that we inform our community of the passing of Thomas Frank Danna.
Tom passed away 3 days prior to his 98th birthday.
Tom was born in Yatesboro, Pennsylvania and as a child his family moved to Rochester, NY. He was one of 11 children born to Salvatore and Carmella Danna. Tom and his siblings were very proud to be first generation Italians.
In 1946 Tom and his wife Ann moved to the San Gabriel Valley. Tom was a gifted machinist who was able to find work in California. During his early life in California he held two jobs and went to night school to make a wonderful life for his family. Tom became a successful Real Estate Agent and later a Real Estate Broker. He opened his own business “Danna Realty” in Temple City. Tom renewed his Real Estate License while in his 80’s.
He is survived by Ann, his loving wife of 71 years, son Richard and wife Sheila, daughters Patricia Geon, Diane Hacker and husband Gerald, Grandson Bryan (Karen) Geon and Granddaughters Jeannette (Brett) Stratton and Angela Hacker. He is also survived by 4 Great-Grandsons, Adam and Liam Geon; Brendan and Travis Stratton. Tom was predeceased by his son Samuel, affectionately known as Sandy, who lost his life as a decorated Vietnam War casualty. He was also predeceased by all of his siblings.
Tom was a loving caring man who always put his family first. Tom had a wonderful sense of humor. He never forgot a joke and always had a witty comeback. You always knew when he was telling you a joke because he laughed while telling it and prefaced it by saying “this really happened”. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
