Antonio "Tony" Martinez passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, with his family by his side. He was 96 years old.
Tony live in San Jose for the past 73 years and worked for and retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad Company after 30 years of service.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting. Tony was one of the founding members of the Pasatiempo Hunters Club and participated in club activities for may years. He spent many weekends at his ranch in Dunlap, CA, enjoying friends, family and great outdoors.
Tony was a World War II veteran, and he was very proud of his service to this County.
Tony is survived by his four children; Rosalie Bernal, Anthony, Lydia, and Daniel Martinez. He is also survived y his 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Tony will be greatly missed by his friends and family, but will be remembered foremost as someone who lived his life to the fullest.
Burial will be on Tuesday, January 28th, at 12:30 P.M. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA. Full military honors will be accorded to Mr. Martinez.
