Ashley Nicole Spinner-Vincent was born in Dallas, Texas on April 16, 1986. She passed away on August 29, 2025, at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center after a long, demanding, and courageous battle with cancer.
Ashley is survived by her husband, Ryan Charles Bell; her mother, Susan Spinner-Vincent; her Dad, Douglas A. Vincent (Cynthia), Charlotte, NC; and her brother, Douglas M. Vincent (Jennifer), San Jose. She also is survived by her aunts, Judith Ann Spinner, Schertz, Texas; Janice S. Fitzgerald, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; her honorary godmother, Cindy L. Parker, Bowie, Maryland, and several cousins.
Ashley especially loved her niece, Jasmine Emiko Vincent, and, of course, her beloved cat, Bernie.
In 2022, Ashley married the love of her life, Ryan Charles Bell. They settled in San Jose, California.
Ashley appreciated many genres of music and loved singing. Studying the cello in middle school, she quickly became proficient with this instrument and auditioned with the San Jose Youth Symphony. Ashley played with the Symphony for a season.
Ashley had a deep commitment to the humane treatment of animals. Support of big cat refuge sites and animal charities was important to her. She was socially and politically aware, always seeking equitable treatment for those in need.
Ashley's interests were eclectic: carpentry, crocheting, gardening, painting, reading, testing recipes, and traveling, especially to Monterey. She loved the holidays, and Halloween was her favorite.
Ashley developed a YouTube channel, "Sunflower's Creative Showcase and Crochet," where she shared her love of crocheting, design creation, and tips. This avenue permitted her to make and maintain friendships with the international crocheting community.
Ashley worked for the Courtyard by Marriott. As a night auditor, she was successful and genuinely enjoyed employment in the hospitality industry and meeting people from around the world.
Our Ashley will be missed deeply, but her beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, kindness, generous heart, and love of her family, friends, and life will never be forgotten.
"All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." (Helen Keller)
