Atanacio "Tony" Rubalcaba

Atanacio "Tony" Rubalcaba was born on August 27, 1940, in San Jose, California. He passed away in his hometown on November 25, 2025, at the age of 85. He was the third youngest out of seven born to parents Emilio and Trinidad (Cisneroz) Rubalcaba.

Tony went to San Jose High School. Go Bulldogs! He joined the United States Air Force and was a medic during the time he served. When he got out of the service, he joined the painters union and worked hard painting both residential and commercial construction jobs.

He later met and married Carol Ann Rubalcaba in June of 1958. They purchased their first home in July of 1963 on Harmony Lane and completed their family with three children.

Tony is survived by his loving children; Christina, Anthony and David Rubalcaba. He was a proud grandfather to eight; Joseph, the late Benjamin, Christopher, Marcus, Stephanie, Vanessa, JoAnna and David Jr. and a cherished great-grandfather to seventeen, seven boys and ten girls. He has one dear sister, Debbie Miramontes, who will remember him fondly along with several nieces and nephews, and good friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his wife Carol Ann, grandson Benjamin Rubalcaba, brothers Emilio Jr. , Frank, Robert and Fernando Rubalcaba, and sister Ramona Gomez, along with parents Emilio and Trinidad Rubalcaba.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation being held at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, located at 710 Willow Street, San Jose, on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 at 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service occurring at 2:00 PM.
