Catalino “Lino” Ibarra Jr, son of Catalino & Irene Ibarra, was born on June 25, 1946 in Pagbilao, Quezon, Philippines. He attended the public schools of Pagbilao and graduated from the Philippines College of Commerce in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce. He met his wife Mila in college and they had a civil wedding in the Philippines in 1972. Shortly after, Lino migrated to the United States to establish himself before Mila migrated to the US soon after and were reunited. In 1973, they had their civil marriage blessed and had a wedding ceremony at St. Agnes Church in San Francisco, witnessed by their family and friends. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Charlowe and Milynne.
Lino was blessed with lots of family and friends here in the United States and in the Philippines. As a result of his generous spirit and friendly personality, he was loved by many. Lino was known for his kindness, hard work ethic, wisdom, advice, humor, and he always saw the good in everyone and everything. He retired from PG&E after 33 years of service and continued to help family and friends with their taxes up until he was called to heaven.
He quietly departed this life on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in his home in San Jose.
Lino has joined his wife, Mila in heaven. He is also accompanied by his father, mother, and sister Anita Advincula. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his daughters Charlowe and Milynne, grandchildren Melody, Brandon, J.C., and Justin, sons-in-law Angelito and Bernard, niece Dorothy Ann Advincula, and a host of devoted family members and friends. He lived a life full of love and blessings.
