

Charles William Roedel passed on Friday, April 5, 2024, and is resting peacefully with his heavenly Father for all eternity. He is also lovingly reunited with his wife Leslie Roedel, who passed in January 2023.
Born November 12, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Charles "Chuck" Roedel, was the son of Delmer and Esther Roedel. He grew up in Oklahoma, New York and Jessup, Georgia before the family settled in Miami Shores, Florida. Chuck was raised with his younger sister Ruth Bone and was an avid Boy Scout in his youth. Chuck enjoyed his summers at Oak Knoll, an artist retreat in Black Mountain, North Carolina started by his grandmother Mary “Mae Mae” Aleshire and he was close with his beloved aunt, Ruth Aleshire. Chuck was the Salutatorian for his senior class at Miami Central High School and won first prize at the Science Fair for building his first computer in 1959. Chuck attended college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy New York where he met his future wife Leslie in 1962. They were married on April 25, 1964, and enjoyed 58 wonderful years together until her passing in 2023. Chuck graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering from RPI and also earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami. Chuck went on to work for several High Tech Corporations including Milgo, Micom,Fujitsu America and Xbridge Systems. He also succeeded in starting and running his own companies including Comsift, 911Tracker and 911Finder. Chuck acquired patents for his ideas and earned awards and commendations throughout his long and illustrious career. Chuck is survived by two adult children and their spouses, Susan Lynn Roedel and Laura Anne Roedel. Laura is married to Michelle Michon. Chuck has three Grandchildren Robert Kelleher, Luke Roedel-Michon and Ella Roedel-Michon. Chuck was preceded in death by his father Delmer Roedel and his mother Esther Roedel.
A Memorial Service for Charles will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
