I’ll always remember the good times at my Uncle Danny and Aunt Pat’s house. It felt like home immediately to every person that stepped foot there and he was always willing to help a neighbor or family member in need. He was a calm presence and a great man and I’ll always remember him.  Love you, Uncle Danny

Dan was a one of kind decent man.  He was kind, honest, hard working, creative, supportive, dependable, funny as heck, caring and curious.  He took the best care of his family and he was always there for his friends.  Over the years, he became like a brother to me.  When I walk around our house and property, he is "here" everywhere.  We met through my friend and his daughter, Kim, because we needed a reliable fix-it guy to help us around the house.  When we moved to a really old property, we started working together to try to keep up with the never ending need for repair.  He taught me his old school techniques showing me the ingenuity and depth of his experience.   When I found out he loved to play poker, my new "brother" joined our (not so talented) poker group made up of mostly women (yes, he loved the ladies) and my other poker loving brother when he visited from Seattle.  He would make me laugh with his corny comebacks and cheerful demeaner.  Dan's quiet yet large presence made a lasting imprint in my life, added a welcome dimension to my experience, and leaves me a wealth of great  memories.

This is Dan at Thom's wedding. I will Miss our visits, together in our walks that we used to take and just being there with with him talking about different stuff and playing poker, of course.

This man was/is a very good man. Worked hard and cared for my sister and her family and added a son of their own.  He is my Brother not my brother in law my Brother. 
Thank you Danny you are missed.

Daniel Anthony Duran was born on October 17, 1938 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to John and Isabel Duran.

Daniel passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026 surrounded by his son Rebert, daughter Kim, and grandson Samuel. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great granddaughter, brother James, and sisters Margaret and Mary. 

He had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed, but forever remembered for the love and friendship he gave so freely. He left us with a light in our lives that will never extinguish and will rest in peace alongside his beloved wife Pat.
