Beloved wife of 50 years to Donald. Loving mother to John Caldwell (Jane) and Scott Caldwell (Lara). Adored Nana to her grandchildren Kelsea, Quincey, and Sam Caldwell. Cherished Aunt Johnnie to families of cousin Sonja Shurr and sister-in-law Karen Faler.
Johnnie graduated from Notre Dame High School. She worked briefly before dedicating her life to raising her sons with Donald.
Skilled at crochet, knitting and sewing, Johnnie made curtains and pillows for her home. She made many handcrafted blankets, quilts, and stuffed animals that are treasured heirlooms. She made blankets for Project Linus and fashioned the scraps into pull toys for family pets.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents Adele and John Faler, and her brother Mark Faler.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Life Celebration will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at The San Jose Scottish Rite, 2455 Masonic Drive, San Jose. Family and friends are also invited to attend 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Church of the Transfiguration, 4325 Jarvis Avenue, San Jose.
In lieu of flowers please donate in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Humane Society of Silicon Valley.
