Duane passed away in his sleep less than two weeks after his wife's funeral services, of nearly 33 years, passed away. He is survived by his son Mike and step-daughter Stacy Lustig; his mother Inez and brother Doug of Ohio. Duane voluntarily coached many sports, including powerlifting which he helped bring to the valley. He was the proud father of a Special Olympian, Mike, “The Dominator”.
Duane had a long career in aviation maintenance and was a valued part of Corporate Air Technology at the San Jose Airport. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23rd at 2pm at 1039 Lincoln Ave. in San Jose at Willow Glen Funeral Home. A private burial will take place on his birthday at Riverside National Cemetery.
