Harry and I met working at The Shark Tank. He was my supervisor. We became quick friends snd he was always there for me. My family came to know him and they loved him just like I did. We lost touch when I moved to Texas, but fate took over. On a trip to see my beloved San Francisco Giants play I spotted him. “Harry, is that you?” He recognized me immediately and we were in shock. It had been about 10 years since we’d seen each other last. After chatting for awhile he asked where I was sitting. About 2 innings later a bag full of Giants merchandise was delivered to my seats. My kids were over the moon happy. This is just one example of his big heart and generosity. As his birthday approaches he’s on my mind. I miss my friend. RIP.

I met Harry at the Shark tank when my sister and I started working there. We became fast friends with Harry, because frankly, there was no way not to like this guy. He was amazingly funny and always had fun teasing us about our antics. He was a true professional as a manager but knew how to party like a rock star. We had a blast when we went to Tahoe and enjoyed quite a few cocktails. For a few years we lost touch, and then by chance my family and I went to a Giants game and I saw him. Of course he remembered me, as he did with everyone, and I could never forget him. We spoke for a few minutes as I introduced him to my sons. He excused himself and a few minutes later returned with a Giants bag full of souvenirs for the kids. That was the kind of man he was. Generous, plain and simple. I will miss my friend. Forever. Giants games will never be the same for me.

Harry was someone to inspire people.  I have known Harry from the Days at Nellcor, HP , Giants.  he will truely be missed and Giants games will never be the same for me again, he leaves us with a lasting impact on our lives and he will be missed I only wish I had known him better

I worked for Harry at HP and the Giants. He was a great supervisor but most of all a nice guy. I will truly miss him. I'm sure God has a special place for him in heaven. To my cousin "Butch":  You were a great influence on me while we were growing up.  You never thought of me as a "kid"!  I still remember tooling around Fairview Heights in your Gremlin (or was it a Pacer?!).  A great sports fan, an early collector of beer cans, and an all around great guy.  I hope you know how proud Herb and Dolores Siebert were of you!


My prayers are with Harry's family and to all of the Giants family who will miss him so much. Harry was a very caring, supportive individual. He always had an open door, an open mind were we develop a true friendship. Above all.., I can say Harry dedication showed his true professional leadership and people skills, always with a smile. I first met Harry Siebert in late February 2005 shortly after being hired by the San Francisco Giants Baseball Club as an usher. Having retired from a career of nearly forty years in law enforcement I did not expect my first meeting with Mr. Siebert to be anything unusual. That was the first and last time I underestimated Harry Siebert. This man who I had only seen once during the pre-employment screening addressed me by name and welcomed me to the San Francisco Giants. Clearly this was a man who valued his employees and he made me feel as though he was glad I was part of the organization.

 What I would find over the next seven seasons is that Harry Siebert was a man who truly cared about his employees, who did pay attention to them and amazingly always seemed to be able to make time to be available for them. Harry had that rare ability to remember names and faces of all his employees. One could pass him in a hallway or on the promenade and he always greeted that person by name and usually asked how the person was or how the conditions at the game were for them. I found that if Harry was in his office and his door was open he was available to any and all of the 400 plus ushers who needed to speak to him. Before and after every game there would be a line of employees waiting to speak with Harry about some personal crisis or issue and he listened to them all. His patience and easy going personality usually had a calming effect on even those who were upset and his creativity usually allowed him to find a solution. No manager is able to make everyone happy all of the time but with Harry, each employee knew that regardless of the outcome or question Harry would listen and do his best to resolve each issue.

 There are two kinds of managers, those who manage by making employees do the job and those who lead by making employees want to do the job. Harry Siebert was one of the few managers in the organization who had that rare ability to lead his employees and make them want to do a good job. He treated every usher with respect and made each one of us feel valued and appreciated.

 I consider myself extremely fortunate to have met Harry Siebert, to have worked for him and to have worked with him. My life is better for having known Harry Siebert and I will never forget him.

Butch and I both moved from Washington Park to Fairview Heights as kids. He joined me back in WP as our best man in 1991. These comments make me realize Butch was kind of the Sports Commissioner of FH in the '80s.

Harry was a real go to guy, he was a pleasure to work with and I will miss him dearly. Always had a smile and a quick wit. Extremely good at his job as the public is very difficult at times.
I am sure the staff there will miss him very much also, my sincere condolences go out to his family.
When they say "only the good die young" these are the type of people that were meant for that saying.

Good ol' Butch.  I have fond memories of playing hockey in his cul-de-sac during our high school days. Butch would always be the one to get the game together.  We also used to watch Blues games together in his basement during the "glory days" of the early 80s. After hearing the news, I've been able to reminisce through e-mail with some of the old crew and share some laughs (the things we used to do...).  That's Butch bringing us together one more time.  My condolences to his family.  Just know that he is not one that will be easily forgotten.

I worked for Harry with the SF Giants.  Many of my colleagues have already eloquently described Harry as a loving and caring person. I would like to add my appreciation of Harry.  After only a few years with the Guest Services Department, Harry asked me to become a Gate Captain. Implied in this request was that Harry was placing his trust and confidence in me. I will always remember Harry for this.

I just drove by the house we grew up in. I remember every day we had a game in the circle. Hockey, football, baketball,whiffleball or whatever. every kid we knew from school or the neighborhood or wherever would show up. Those were the best times of my life. Im sure that they were yours too. I'll never forget you bro. Thanks for everything.

I only knew Harry the last few years as a volunteer for the SAP Open. Even in that short time though, I could tell what a kind, caring, and professional person he was. I was only one of hundreds of volunteers, yet even from day 1 he always greeted me by name (!) every time I saw him.  My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.

To Harry's family and close friends, I offer my heartfelt condolences.  Simply Harry is the best on all levels . We that worked with Harry @ Sf Giants  are mourning his passing. Harry had the innate ability to connect with each if us.  I can only imagine this is 10 fold plus for you, his family and close friends.  I hope it brings you some comfort that Harry will always be rememberd as our special friend.

Harry, I didn't know you also go by "Butch"! I guess mostly your family and friends from Missouri fondly refer to you as such. Anyway, thank you for always acknowledging me when I saw you at the ballpark, and remembering my name (hundreds of employees!), and telling me I do a great job!  You were very encouraging and approachable.  Will miss you greatly.

Harry whenever i had a question or just wanted to talk.. you always had the time and i was so relaxed around you...I remember my first day sitting in the lunch room eating alone  and you came in and asked how i was doing and how do i like what im doing...I knew right then this was my calling...you made being nice to others effortless...what a great guy..i miss you so much.. your embedded in my heart forever...your friend   lefty Nixon

If our lives are measured by how we make people feel, Harry not only hit a home run, he won the World Series. He touched and made a difference to so many of us. I will always cherish our times together. I already miss his wonderful smile. God bless you and your family.

I worked with Harry at the HP Pavilion and he made a great place to work even greater.  He was a great Supervisor and an awesome person.  My prayers will be with his family.  It is hard to say good by, but he is an awesome place.  It may seem like an eternity here on earth before we see him again; up in heaven it will be just the blink of an eye.  Enjoy your new home Harry.  You earned your home coming.  You will be missed greatly here by those of us who were priviledged to have know you.

Butch, you were a wonderful brother to me and uncle to my children, Ryan and Taylor. Although distance kept us from seeing you often, our weekly talks made it not seem too bad. Ryan wears the San Francisco Giants hat you gave him with pride (even in "Cardinal" land). All the comments I have read make me proud of you and glad to know your life in California made you happy. We love and miss you!

Harry was one of a kind individual. A very sweet special man in many ways.Those of us who were fortunate to know him know exactly what I mean. Always in great spirits,beautiful smile and always trying to accommodate others. He touched a lot of hearts including mine. I'm happy to have worked with him at HP and I will miss him.

It was such a sad moment when I heard about Harry.  My deepest sympathies to his wife, family, and all the friends he has touched over the years.  I have had the pleasure of working with Harry at the Giants for the past 7 seasons, and as many will attest, he knew every one of us by name!  I'm including a photo of the two of us... just one month into my employment and he treated me like family!  You will be very missed!

I am so sorry for your loss. This is the only other man who  put up with my shananigans and issues for 9 years...I not only lost a fabulous boss and supervisor but a dear friend. It will be a very significant opening day and he will be missed more than words can say.

I had the great privilege since 2007 to call Harry my boss at AT&T Park.  He was a great man, a kind-hearted soul, and appreciated all.  He always had an open door, and he will be missed by all at AT&T Park.
