April 22, 1930 – February 21, 2025
In Loving Memory of Jack Rhen Cheung (1930-2025)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Rhen Cheung,
who left us peacefully on Friday, February 21st, 2025.
Born in 1930, to a blended family of eight siblings, he helped support his family
during his teenage years. His hard work and determination drove him to
succeed in business early in his adult life. Later on, when he immigrated to the
United States in 1979, he used his various skills and knowledge to provide for his
family. This led to success in starting various businesses and making custom
fixtures and displays for many shops across the Bay Area. Yet, his biggest
achievement would come in starting and providing for his family of five children
who all have continued his legacy with their own families.
Jack is survived by his wife Bi Trinh of over 50 years, five children Jennifer, Ai,
Karine, Tom, and John, and ten grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan, Alex, Samantha,
Dylan, Kristen, Emma, Katie, Ava, and Maddie.
He was a self-taught man, known for his quiet and honest nature, caring for his
family, and being the most reliable, dependable and helpful friend one can have.
Throughout his years, his family and friendship have kept him strong and
enduring. Jack was a devoted father to his children, a doting and “cool grandpa”
to his grandchildren, and a caring son, brother, uncle, and friend. In his later
years, he was an active, senior member of the local Chieu Chow Association,
working to help and promote the community. This selfless role among many is a
reflection of the man who all his life was kind, helpful, generous, and most
importantly true to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who
knew him, forever in their hearts until the time they will see him again. May he
rest in peace.
Per the family’s wishes, donations and flowers are not necessary. Your presence
and condolences are of utmost importance and greatly appreciated.
