EN EL CUIDADO DE

Willow Glen Funeral Home

Jesus (Jesse) Valdez Chavez II, of Santa Clara, CA passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 80, after battling long standing health conditions. He is survived by his former wife, Emiko, their sons—Jesus and Hiroshi, and their grandchildren—Rei, Kai, Sara, and Logan, as well as his brother, Lupe (Lou), and sisters, Mary, and Vicky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Fernanda, and his brothers, Willie, Manuel, and Juan.

Jesse was born on September 3, 1944 in San Antonio, TX. He was the eldest of seven siblings. A native Texan, Jesse called San Antonio home until he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army. He ultimately made his way to the San Francisco Bay Area by way of Vietnam where he served his country. In San Francisco, he met and married Emiko, with whom he had his two sons, and they settled in Daly City, CA. Jesse graduated from Golden Gate University with a degree in Accounting and began a lucrative career with the “much-loved” IRS, where he worked until he retired. As a retiree, Jesse pursued his hobbies, cared for his grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling with friends.

A private celebration of Jesse's life will be held at Willow Glen Funeral Home in San Jose.
