Jimmy Telly

Loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Jimmy Telly passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born to parents Richard and Lydia Telly, on May 4,1955, in San Jose California and was the second born of 10 children.

He married Elizabeth, the love of his life, in 1979. Jimmy is survived by his wife Elizabeth Telly and 3 children; Jeanette Telly, Veronica Martinez, and Alfred Contreras. Grandchildren; Alexis Martinez, Pedro Martinez (Hanabi), Katrina Martinez, Marisa Martinez, Alfred Contreras and Emma Contreras. Jimmy was a family man and many have called him papa Jim and Grandpa. He was a loving man with a big heart.

Jimmy is survived by his siblings Richard Telly (Nancy), Cathy Contreras, Robert Telly, Anthony Telly (Maria), Lisa Avila (Manuel), Gary Telly (Michelle), Carolyn Barela (Tony), Monica Contreras (Andrew). Along with numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Richard Telly and younger brother Danny Telly.

A lifelong fan of local sport teams, the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and the San Jose Sharks. Jimmy shared his love of the game with his family and especially his mother.

We will certainly miss our gatherings when he would make his famous chili, wear his SF Giants T shirts, laughing, replying yeah baby and his ever so present bee da boop boop is exactly how he will be remembered. He was deeply loved by his family and will be incredibly missed by all! He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts. We love you!!
