Joseph Ledesma

Joe was born on March 21,1951 in San Jose, CA to Jess Ledesma and Guadalupe Escamilla. He received his AA degree from San Jose City College in San Jose, CA. He also had extensive training in auto and diesel busmechanics. He worked for the VTA for 37 years in San Jose, CA. and retired in June 2013.

Joe had a passion for football, with a great love for the Kansas City Chiefs and was thrilled when they won the Super Bowl this year. He was also a Star Trek fan and avid comic book collector. He loved music particularly 50's,60's and 70's music. Joe also loved to go to the movies, walk with his walking group, and read civil war history books. Whenever he had the opportunity, he traveled and took many cruises with his aunts, uncle, cousins, and friends.

Joe was known for his big smile, infectious laugh, bear hugs when he would greet you, and his kind and compassionate spirit. His dependability for his loved ones and his positive outlook was always admirable.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Jess Ledesma; his mother, Guadalupe Escamilla; his brothers, Thomas Ledesma and Edward Ledesma; and cousin Kathy Escamilla. He is survived by cousins Richard and Sabrina Marquez and family; Sandra Russell, husband and family; Maria Cueto; long time friend Stock Cortez and family; Uncle Robert and Aunt Virginia and family; and many more cousins.

Although he will be missed, we hope you will always carry his passion for life, his compassionate heart, and his bright presence in your hearts and memories. Please join us in honoring what an incredible man Joe was as we lay him to rest.
