Joyce P Daniels

Joyce Patricia Daniels was born on August 17, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of John Henry Daniels and Arthur Lee Powe Daniels. In 1963, Joyce moved with her family to San Jose, California where she attended and graduated from Andrew Hill High School.

Joyce shared two sons, Eddie Moore, Jr. and Jason Moore, Sr., with her first husband Eddie Moore, Sr. As a military family, they lived abroad in Germany and Colorado Springs, Colorado before returning to San Jose.

In 1985, Joyce married Tommie Lee Daniels, to whom she was married for 38 years. Together they owned and operated Poo Bear Daycare for over 18 years in San Jose where she spent the rest of her life.

Joyce was the matriarch of her family and was always there to share her wisdom and what she knew of the family history. She had a spark for life and love that made her special to everyone that knew her.

Left to cherish her memories are: her husband Tommie Lee Daniels; sons Eddie Moore, Jr. and Jason Moore, Sr.; beloved grandson Jason (JJ) Moore, Jr.; brother Tony Daniels and sister-in-law Sharon Daniels; 11 nieces and nephews; and countless great nieces, great nephews, and other dear family and friends.

Preceding Joyce in death are her parents and brothers Lawrence Daniels and Kenneth Daniels.

A memorial service for Joyce will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
