Love to Joyce:
Every time I hear the Isley brothers I think of you!  I can see your smile and hear you saying GAL. :). I miss calling you and hearing you say “Hey Queenie”. I am thankful for your friendship and look forward to seeing you in Paradise.  Until then rest  in peace as you remain in Jehovah’s memory….

                                                                       
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a year. I have always thought of Joyce as a mom. Although our time together wasn’t as long as I had hoped, She was someone I had a lot of respect for. She was always very blunt about things when speaking to me but, was also a loving nurturing mother at the same time. She would always give me clothes for the meeting , so I could look appropriate and I truly loved that about her. She knew I loved her style of clothes and would not pass up a great outfit. Lol ;) 
I truly miss her and her  wisdom, advice and that wonderful smile that would lite up the 
room whenever she came in it.

Wow I can’t believe it has been a year… I will always cherish Joyce’s smilie and laughter… She will be forever in our hearts 🥰….  Still after a year she will be loved and missed and again I am sorry for your loss… Love you guys and take care… I wish I could be there for the services today but dialysis is holding me back and nobody understood that more than Joyce….. 💕❤️💕

Mama Joyce,
My world is different without you in it.  I never knew my every day accomplishment big or small, I want to share with you.  My rough and tough    days I reach for the phone to still call you.  My morning walks, short drives all revolved around wanting to call you to tell you where I'm going and to check on you.  I'm lost, I'm hurt, I'm mad, I'm angry, I'm confused, I'm in disbelief  I will never see you again.  My heart is broken 💔. The one thing that gives me peace of mind at this early time of your passing is I'm Grateful that you were my mom!  Raising 5 girls on your own, I can't complain, then your support with helping me raise my boys was everything to me and them.  You helped me get on track way past my teenage years.  We had so much more to explore together, I'm having a hard time excepting I can't share my world with you anymore.

Grief never ends. But the feeling does change. They say, time heals all wounds. But some wounds are deep, like loosing a loved one in death. Grief is a passage, not a place for us to stay. It is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love. 

You may be somewhere or see something, hear something smell or tastes something, and a tear may roll down your cheek. That's ok, because it reminded you of Joyce.

She was special to us and we will all grieve in our own way. But we too will continue to celebrate her in our own way.

For me, I will miss her laugh the most, because she always said, " we some funny people", and we truly are. And I look forward to hearing her laugh again.


This family took me in as one of their very own in the early eighties. We continue to share many of life journeys together. We are sad because we miss mom physical presence. We know the truth, Its Jehovah's promise. I love my family and I know we will overcome all we encounter. 

Joyce, you have been  such a blessing to my life, in more ways than I can count.  It's true that friends become family, and you're mine.  I will miss our talks, your smile, your laughter, the fun car rides, your beauty & style, your awesome cooking, and your love.  I have spent most of my childhood and summers on end, with you and the girls, and I miss that the most.  I have soo many fond memories of you.  I will miss everything about you, because you were like a 
mother to me.. Thank you for being so special, in my life.  I love you, dearly 💝
