Karen Jentes-Brieger

Karen was born on December 26, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, to Jacob and Florence Weissberg. She received her Doctor of Education from University of San Francisco in Business Management, and started her own strategic and management development company, Development Associates, more than 30 years ago in San Jose, California. On November 28, 1968, she married Stephen Brieger on a Thanksgiving Day in Half Moon Bay. They raised their daughter Jennifer to always reach for the stars.

Karen had a lifelong predilection for achievement. She was the quintessential rags-to-riches story. With a dime in her pocket and holes in her shoes, she threw caution to the wind and moved from New York to California to live out her dreams in becoming a “Who’s Who” among American businesswomen.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Jacob, mother, Florence, and husband, Steve. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer, grandsons, Jake and Rylan, and several cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Willow Glen Funeral Home on 1039 Lincoln Avenue at 11am.
