Kenneth is survived by his brother Ronnie Huber and his son Keith Huber. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Martha (“Marty”) Huber and his eldest son Kenny Huber.
Born in the Bronx, New York on April 9, 1948, Kenneth grew up in Yorktown Heights, where his childhood fostered a lifelong love of nature, animals, and aviation. His admiration for the military began early, inspired by his father Charles, a World War II veteran who owned and maintained his own airplane.
Kenneth met his future wife Martha when they were children attending Catholic school. In a story cherished by all who knew them, she once gave him her pencil box — a simple gift that marked the beginning of a lifelong romance. They later reunited in high school, and their love story continued from there.
In 1967, Kenneth joined the U.S. Navy, where he served honorably for 20 years until his retirement in 1987. As a flight engineer on P-3 Orions, he proudly patrolled the world’s oceans to help safeguard freedom and peace. Following his military service, Kenneth continued his career at NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, where he worked as the HPAD Supervisor for the wind tunnels.
Kenneth and Marty were happily married for 45 years. Together, they shared a deep love for family, animals, and the outdoors, often traveling and camping across the country in their trailer.
A funeral service will be held on November 6th at Oak Hill Funeral Home in San Jose, California. All friends and family are warmly invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your favorite charity or cause in Kenneth’s memory.
