Liduina C. Reis

11 agosto, 1946 – 23 enero, 2025
Obituario de Liduina C. Reis
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Willow Glen Funeral Home

Liduina C. Reis, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 23, 2025, in San Jose, California, at the age of 78. Born on August 11, 1946, in Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira, Acores, Portugal, Liduina lived a life defined by resilience, accomplishment, love, and dedication to her family and heritage.

Liduina began her professional journey as an administrator for the Police Department of Terceira, where she worked from 1973 to 1977. That same year, she immigrated to the United States with her family, embarking on a new chapter filled with challenges and opportunities. Through perseverance and unwavering determination, Liduina advanced to become an executive at Supertex, a silicon wafer manufacturing company, and ultimately rose to the role of director, all while adapting to the culture of a new country and mastering a new language.

Liduina was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in sewing, painting, knitting, and cooking, using her creativity to bring beauty into the lives of those around her. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she cherished hosting large gatherings of family and friends, preparing traditional Portuguese meals that became treasured traditions. Her pride in her family, particularly her grandchildren, knew no bounds—she never missed an opportunity to share stories of their successes and milestones.

Liduina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Carlos A. Reis, who passed 16 days prior to her leaving. Her marriage to Carlos was a true love story, and she passed away from a broken heart.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Myers and Dulce Horton; her son-in-law, Dan Myers; her cherished grandchildren, Carson Myers, Reese Myers, and Andreia Medeiros; and niece, Sandra Cardoso Leite.

Liduina’s legacy of strength, love, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family and friends.
