Loleula Jennings left to go home to Heaven on August 3rd2020, as she faced a long battle with an illness that slowly caused her body to shut down. Loleula was an avid fighter till the end and was a breast cancer survivor as well as a bone marrow transplant patient. No matter how ill she felt, she was always looking out for her children, especially her grandchildren. Born in Upolu Samoa on February 16, 1949, and raised in Nu’uuli American Samoa, she left to the states in 1969, where she started her family. She was feisty, funny, and loved by all who knew her. Though she is not here physically, she is here in spirit.
Loleula is survived by her sons: Savili Afuola and wife Hana, Bruce Afuola, Rudy Afuola and wife Elaine, Kana Jennings, and wife Vanessa, Makoa Jennings and Lotolelei Jennings, as well as her daughters: Theresa Afuola, Patricia Tautai and husband Dave, Lina Jennings, and Erica Romero. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lorelei, Alapati, Davicia, Desmond, Mikayla, Raven, Parish, Jariah, Janais, Kaydenn, Inez, Kayanna, Eshton, Ira, Kayssen, Giovanny and Martin. She is also survived by her extended children: daughter Angie Timoteo, and husband Carlos Vaiaoga as well as their children King, Ahmahry and Ahyris. Her other extended grandchildren are Kenny Brown, Aaron Brown and Dariah Brown. She is now in Heaven with three of her angels, granddaughter Angellei, and twin grandsons, Sione and Lyricc.
Her memorial service will be held at Community Church on Lucretia Avenue in San Jose, CA on August 28, 2020 and will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Memorial.
As our mother and grandmother to our children, Loleula Jennings will truly be missed every second, minute, hour, day, week, month, and year of our lives. But we are comforted in the thought that she is resting pain free with our Heavenly Father above looking down on us all.
