Willie, it has taken me many days to actually write on here... To think and find the right words to say... I can still hear your mom and dad tell me how brave you are.. The warrior you became the day that the firefighter saved you... The way your sister talked about you when i last hung out with her... I can see the bond you and Chrispy have the same bond i have with my brother... I can imagine the pain shes going through... I know that no words can change the pain your mom, dad, and sister feel... You have left an emptiness in the hearts of many... I know that we did not grow up together but i always thought of you guys because we are family primo. Your story is so inspiring. Im reading all the memories on here and looking at your photos... Your smile... I can see the boy and man you grew up to be... Willie you had a long life ahead of you, but god only knows why he needed you in heaven. I hope your dancing in the sky. I hope your pain and worries are gone. You lived one life, and touch many lifes. You will be missed. I know you are in a better place. I will never forget you may you rest in peace primo... Until we meet again si Dios nos lo permite. On January 12 2022, heaven gained an angel, my parents & i have cried your departure soo much brother 🥺💔. We have uncontrollably cried, stomped and screamed, & the man above still needed you. 25years was not long enough brother. I lost my best friend, my other half 💔 & there’s nothing anyone could do or say for me. I’m dead but alive, I miss you every second of the day, EVERY SINGLE SECOND brother. I will never hear the word “sister” or “hermana” come out of your mouth again & I’m broken. I haven’t slept in days, I feel like your going to walk through the door any minute now, but the minute never comes. I understand your wings were always too huge to be on earth, and you needed to fly high, but oh man does it hurt brother. I will say I do feel you around, & I wish I could hug you tight but TIGHT TIGHT like I’ve never hugged anyone before. You were right about how things would be when you weren’t here brother, sorry I haven’t kept my promise about not crying my tears come down without me knowing. I hope you think I’m still the best sister, because you were the best brother I could have had, (“that’s right!”, as you would say) you were always & you will forever be my pride & joy brother. Where ever I go till my last breath I will speak about you, I will mention you, my little not soo little brother who never gave up regardless how hard life tried to knock him down, he pushed & he pushed for himself, for his family. Your bravery, I will always have with me. Thank you for the road trips, the laughs, the arguments, the conversations, the advice, for ALL of you brother ♥️. I promise to remember it all! The memories I will forever cherish brother. I will build myself up again brother, not like before but I’ll get back up for YOU brother. Willie, I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to take care of you and get to know you during your journey this side of Heaven. You were truly the most kindhearted and a true entertainer. Thank you for your race car gaming tips and for sharing some of your faves with me. Willie,  You were one of a kind! Thank you for sharing a piece of your story with me, demonstrating what it means to live genuinely in the moment, and  reminding me of what anchors us here. Every time I take a corner in the car (with a little too much joy and speed), drop by Chic Fil A, remember why it takes a person much braver than I to go dirt biking down a narrow hiking trail, or attempt any kind of aerobic competition whilst (unwisely) wearing a mask and goggles--I will hear your laughter and your wisdom. Willie, thank you for giving me the honor to be a part of your life. From our talks about cars, to all the delicious deserts and treats you bake, always had me hungryyyyyy .  There was never a dull moment when you were with us. The countless people coming into your room doing our bicycle challenges.  All of us sweating, huffing and puffing, about to pass out. It was always such a great laugh, especially when people tried to lie about their times. We even tried to get your mom to do it. You will truly be missed. Rest In Paradise.

Dearest Willie,
Once in a while, in an ordinary day at work in the hospital, we are blessed with patients who leaves us with inspiring moments. Thank you for the unlimited smiles you throw to everyone even though how hard a day was. The courage you shine through when life is tough and the humility to accept the challenges with your optimism is admirable in your young heart.  You said the freedom you feel when you ride the trails is empowering. Thank you for challenging me to learn how to ride the bike, I still need to learn how to be cool when I ride just like you! Fly high Willie, I miss you but you will always be remembered with a smile.

Willie, You have been an inspiration to me. Your strength, courage and most specially your kindness. What I will miss most are those big smiles every time I come to your room to say hi or take care of you. Those smiles and silly joke made my night so much better. You kept teasing me coz I won't do the bike challenge with you.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take care of you and to know you.  Now you can chill in heaven!

Thank you Willie for allowing us to be a small part of your life.  I always enjoyed our visits even though they were doctor’s visits, it was a joy to see your smile and what story you had that would make me raise my eyebrow!  You never failed to surprise me and while life tried to rein you in, you refused to stand by.  You always pushed the limits   and showed a tough guy facade but underneath it all, you had a heart of gold.  I feel so lucky to have been a small part of your life.

Oh Willie. Your smile and laugh is something I will never forget. Each and every time I had the pleasure of caring for you, my day was filled with laughter. You would always put up with my silly jokes, firing back even better ones. I could always count on you to order burritos or PF Chang's with me, after talking through all the options for two hours. Not only were you kind and polite, you were genuine. You always asked me how my boys were, and what they were currently into. You taught me everything I need to know about RC cars...and my boys were always so happy when I would come home and explain all that I learned. I will forever cherish the time I got to spend with you, the conversations we had, and the smiles you brought to those around you. The last time I talked to you, you told me that the best gift is time. These words I will do my best to live by...cherishing time. Thank you for letting me think I won the bike race. Rest in peace Willie. 

To my bud Willie, who taught me so many things about life and caring for patients and what a “whip” is. I am so proud of you and your bravery. You and your family were so loved by everyone at LPCH. I will miss you more than I can put into words. I will be forever better for having you as patient.

I will remember all our stories about fishing and about the time when you challenged everyone to ride your stationary bike for time. I had wobbly legs for the rest of my shift thanks to you.
