Our Precious Little Angel: Marcelino means Young Warrior and that he was. Marcelino beloved son of Sarah Bentley and Daniel Nieves of Manteca, CA was called to the Lord on June 21, 2017 at UCSF at 6:35 p.m. He was born on January 14, 2014 at 6:35 p.m. after a full moon and waiting for Grandma Nieves to arrive from work. He lost his 2 year battle from a pineobalstoma tumor. His poor little body could no longer fight this rapid growing tumor against everything that USCF could do for him. He is no longer suffering and we are no longer suffering watching him helplessly. He is survived on his Moms side, Grandma Marty Bentley, Grandpa Randy Bentley, 2 great grand fathers, Great Aunt Pam, Aunt Rene, Big Sister Harliegh Shamblin 8, Little Sister Mila Nieves and preceded by Baby Brother Zander and many more relatives. On his fathers side, Grandpa Frank Nieves, Grandma Leticia Nieves, Aunt/Nina Elena Nieves and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
We invite family, friends all to his celebration of life at Oak Hill Funeral Home on Monday July 10, 2017. Viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Services to begin at 1:00 p.m. with burial following. We welcome you to a reception at Elks Lodge on Alma from 4:00 - 8:00. Marcelino will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts. He was a true warrior even though he was nonverbal except for a few words the most important ones "Mom and Dad and more, go" but he got his message across with his body language. He knew a few sign language such as please, hugs. He had a very powerful hug. His Dad was his best father because he took on the roll of his nurse to provide all of his medical needs.
His Mom being the strongest ever to support his Dad and him the strength they needed. Sister Harliegh sweetest to give him love and bonding. Grampa Randy his roughness and horseplay for his strength, Grandma Marty all the control of her go cart. His Auntie/Nina Elena her begging for his nose kisses, knuckles, hand shakes (her stinky booty). Grandpa Nieves feet massages and his chicharon con chile song. Uncle Henry bonded with baby because his was rehab while he recovered from his stroke by stilling his cane and unstrapping his Velcro on his leg brace. And most of all his Grandma Leticia her Bubbus for his lullabies she always sang to him in Spanish carried on from this great grandma Jenny. His Dad called it the applesauce song known as Senora Santa Spanish version of hush little baby don't you cry. Grandma Nieves sang this to him to get him to sleep and until he took his last breath. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still, In our hearts you hold a place no one else will ever fill.
